Picture 3:
The structure on campus side is formed by four platforms stretching to different directions. This is inspired by Zaha Hadid's concept, which is ' there are 360 degrees, why stick to one?"
Picture 4:The stair between is developed to enhance Zaha Hadid's concept that ' the flowing and organic form of building'. The changing sizes of the stair create a sense of movement. Looking from different angles, the stair will show different forms.
Picture 5:
The structure with organic shape is to show Herzog & de Meuron's concept, which is 'grouping of spaces'. The holes open the structure letting it has a close relationship with context. It also addresses the theme 'sustainability'.
The stair also shows another concept of them, which is 'stacking basic geometry."
